13th Annual Zoowalk for Autism Research

Thanks for your support of the Zoowalk for Autism Research!

Thousands of people had a great time at the zoo and helped us to raise nearly $100,000 for autism research in Arizona!  Donations are still welcome, so please help us meet our goal to support our many different research projects.

Donations can be made online or checks can be submitted, or mailed to:  ARI, 4182 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA, 92116 through October 30th, 2017.

Your investment in the Zoowalk for Autism Research has helped us conduct many successful studies at ASU, and with your help we will continue that work to help children and adults with autism lead healthier and happier lives!

Funds raised this year will go to support 4 major studies, including:

1)      Treatment Effectiveness Survey – over 1400 autism families responded to our survey, and now we will analyze and publish the results about which treatments are the best for different symptoms

2)      2nd GI Treatment Study- this will be a follow-up to our previous highly-successful study of a new treatment for gut problems in individuals with autism

3)      Healthy Child Guide:  continue to develop and disseminate this important guide on advice for families on how to prevent autism and other neurological problems

4)      Mom’s Study – complete our study on how to evaluate and treat metabolic problems in mothers of children with autism, to improve their health and prevent future cases of autism

Thank you for your support of this important research and we hope to see you again next year.
